A few words on my logo. Some years back, while I was looking for one, it appeared in a dream. What does it mean?I am a Systemic Coach. The word “systemic” has a serious sound to it and may seem a bit dry. But the approach is deeply human.“Systemic” means that we always keep two things in mind:1.Everyone is always embedded in a context that acts upon you and upon which you act back: people, situations, circumstances, roles, objects and so on. The human is a “system” in itself, and the human + the context form another “system” of interactions. Every system has an inside and an outside, yet everything is connected. We are always part of a bigger picture.2.You as a human being have many sides and various parts of personality within you. Some get along quite well. Others don’t. Convincing those that don’t to talk to each other and elaborate a more cooperative way of interacting can bring surprising results, like ending some blockage or standstill in life. But some of these parts are so well hidden that they will not show up without a helping hand from outside. We carry many old stories within us, untold things, unsolved situations, unmet needs. We push them down, repress them out of our awareness. What can be left is a vague bad feeling of unknown origin. Because these parts, they push back from down below. They don’t just kindly silently sit down there forever. They develop a life of their own. Until they are seen again and integrated into the conscious personality, they make themselves known by various means :•anger, fear or other sensations appearing for no apparent reason (and sometimes projected on others),•blockages,•recurring patterns in behaviour or experience,•a standstill in certain areas of life. This is represented by the lower part of the logo, as a sort of a pressure chamber. When the time for something down there has come, it starts making itself noticed. Can you feel it?In coaching, we build a safe space together where these things are allowed to come out and know that they will be seen and honoured and treated with care and respect, in a non-judgmental way. Then these pieces can finally take their natural space within you. The pressure is released and these parts may find peace and join your inner team. This is the upper part of the logo: expansion. Expansion relieves and releases long-bound energies and resources. And that feels good.If you would like to know more about the methods and sources of inspiration I use in my coaching, you will find more details here: What is Systemic Coaching?Further reading:•More blog posts•Contact info: Ask your questions or make an appointment
